Rebecca & Danny | Waldenwood

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding at Waldenwoods resort in Howell, Michigan. Returning to this venue always brings about a sense of timelessness, with its charming buildings and the serene lake that serves as a backdrop for the ceremony site.

Rebecca and Danny truly made the reception area feel warm and inviting. One of the things that caught my attention was the family photos displayed on the mantle of the fireplace. It added a personal touch and created a sense of homeliness.

When I arrived, Rebecca greeted me with the kindest words, expressing her confidence in the photos we would capture. It's moments like these when a bride's encouragement can truly inspire me. It fueled my determination to go to be more creative

The wedding party was an absolute joy to work with. They were not only willing to lend a helping hand, but they also had a great sense of humor. Their infectious laughter made the day even more enjoyable.

One of my absolute favorite things that took place at sunset was when they exchanged their private vows. This aspect holds a special place in my heart for several reasons. By this time, any nerves have melted away, and the couple gets to fully embrace and enjoy their wedding day together. It becomes a precious moment of reflection, where they can simply take a pause and appreciate the love and support of their friends and family, who are all there to celebrate their unique bond.

As the night progressed, the dance floor became the center of attention. Rebecca and Danny were surrounded by their loved ones, and their exhaustion from the festivities was evident. It was heartwarming to witness the bond between the newlyweds and their friends and family, as they celebrated and created lasting memories together.

Overall, the wedding at Waldenwoods was a truly special occasion. The venue's timeless charm, Rebecca and Danny's personal touches, and the genuine warmth of everyone involved made it a joy to capture through my lens.
