As the year wrapped up, I delivered my final wedding gallery of 2026, and it was the perfect way to close out such a meaningful season. Abby and Jon’s wedding at the Players Club in Detroit was elegant, intentional, and full of heart. Abby carried herself with effortless grace, and Jon was completely present and attentive throughout the day. Together, they truly are a power couple, and photographing their wedding felt like the most fitting send off to the year.

Outside of weddings, life slowed down in the best way. I became an aunt this month and got to meet my new nephew, Beckett, in the hospital. Watching how loved he already is was a sweet reminder of why documenting life’s milestones, both big and small, matters so much.

January also brought one of those days that perfectly sums up what I love about my work. On January 17th, I photographed three sessions in one day, each one completely different. From an in home maternity session filled with warmth and playful dogs,

to braving the cold for a gender reveal with dogs by their side where we found out they are having a boy and a girl,

and ending the day with a family session that leaned fully into winter fun. Sledding, hot cocoa, and genuine connection made it feel less like a photoshoot and more like a memory being made.

January also included a session with Coco and Beth at Brighton Yoga Center. Both of these women are truly the best, and photographing them inside such a beautiful studio was such a joy. Sessions like this take me back to photographing athletes, with a focus on strength and movement.

Looking ahead, I am so excited for what is next. My first wedding of the new year is just around the corner, and I will also be celebrating my future couples at their wedding showers. Being invited into these moments beyond the wedding day is something I never take for granted, and it feels like a beautiful way to step into a new season.

If you are looking to book a session, I do have a little availability coming up. Most weekend spots are filled, with the exception of the 28th in the morning. I also have some Friday availability, including the 20th, and weekday sessions are always an option if that works better for your schedule.
